Small Engine

Description

Students will learn the principles of a two stroke, four stroke, and diesel engine.  After learning about the different types of engines and the systems that make them work, students will disassemble a gasoline powered, horizontal shaft, Honda four stroke engine.  After dis-assembly, students will reassemble their engines while learning about the different systems that make the engines run.  Troubleshooting, preventive and routine maintenance, and proper tool usage will be covered throughout the class.  Once students have their Honda engines running, they are then free to work on individual, teacher approved small engine projects.  Students will gain Honda University small engine certifications as they progress through the course.
