There are a lot of opportunities in the Health Industry, and Intro to Health Careers will give you a good overview of the possibilities. Topics will include career foundations, career pathways, ethics, and safety. Whether you’re interested in becoming a health aide in your village, dental hygienist, nurse, EMT, or doctor, this course will give you a good idea of whether to pursue your interests further. This will be an intensive course, and students should come prepared for a fast-paced week. Students who successfully complete this course will be given points on a future application for HLTH 110: Professionalism in Health Careers. This course will take place in Anchorage. This course is a great opportunity for high school students to explore different health careers.
